1. Agreement

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) apply to your access to and use of the InterBuckets mobile application and any related features or services that MuSquared makes available with it (collectively, the “Service”). By installing, accessing, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not access or use the Service.

If you use the Service on behalf of another person or organization, you confirm that you have authority to accept these Terms for them. In that case, “you” also refers to that person or organization.

2. What InterBuckets does

InterBuckets is a portfolio-tracking app intended to help users track portfolios and understand allocation. The Service is an informational and organizational tool. Features and supported information may change between versions.

The Service is not a bank, broker, investment dealer, exchange, custodian, financial planner, investment adviser, tax adviser, or legal adviser. It does not execute trades, hold assets, or create a client-adviser relationship. Unless we expressly agree otherwise in a separate written agreement, we do not provide personalized investment, trading, tax, or legal advice.

Information displayed in the Service is not a recommendation, offer, or solicitation to buy, sell, or hold any investment. You are responsible for checking information that matters to you and for making your own decisions, including seeking advice from a qualified professional where appropriate. Portfolio values, allocations, calculations, and other outputs may be estimates, incomplete, delayed, or affected by incorrect input or unavailable data. Do not rely on the Service as the sole basis for a financial decision.

3. Eligibility and your responsibilities

You may use the Service only if you can form a binding agreement under the laws that apply to you. If you are below the age of legal majority where you live, you may use the Service only with the involvement and consent of a parent or legal guardian, who must accept these Terms on your behalf where required by law.

You are responsible for using the Service lawfully, providing information you have the right to use, and reviewing information before relying on it. You must not:

• use the Service to violate a law, regulation, court order, or another person’s rights;
• probe, scan, or test the Service or its systems for vulnerabilities without our written authorization;
• bypass security or access controls, interfere with normal operation, or introduce malware;
• reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to derive source code, except to the extent that applicable law does not allow this restriction;
• copy, resell, rent, sublicense, or commercially exploit the Service except as we authorize in writing or applicable law permits; or
• use the Service in a way that could damage, disable, overload, or impair it or prevent another person from using it.

4. Account-free access and security

Users cannot create or hold a MuSquared user account through the Service in this release. Account sign-in and account-based deletion do not apply. If a future release adds account features, these Terms and the Privacy Policy must be updated to describe the account and deletion process before those features become available.

5. Portfolio information and other material you provide

You retain any rights you have in information or material that you provide to the Service (“User Material”). You are responsible for ensuring you have the rights needed to provide and use it.

This release does not let users publish or share User Material with other users. We do not upload portfolio information unless you explicitly permit an upload. If you choose a feature that sends portfolio information off your device, the feature will explain what is sent and ask for your permission first. When you authorize an upload, you give MuSquared permission to receive, store, process, and display that information to you only as reasonably necessary to operate, secure, maintain, and provide the feature you requested, and to provide support you request. This permission is non-exclusive and continues only for as long as needed for those purposes, subject to the Privacy Policy and any retention required by law. It does not transfer ownership of your User Material to MuSquared.

Do not provide another person’s personal or financial information unless you have authority to do so. Do not provide passwords, one-time verification codes, access tokens, or financial-account login credentials to the Service or to support.

6. License to use the Service

As long as you comply with these Terms, MuSquared grants you a limited, personal, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use the Service for your own lawful purposes on devices that you own or control, subject to the applicable app store’s terms. This license does not give you ownership of the Service or its underlying software, design, or content.

MuSquared and its licensors retain all rights in the Service, including software, branding, and materials we provide, except for rights expressly granted to you in these Terms. You may not use MuSquared’s name or marks without prior written permission.

7. Third-party services and information

InterBuckets uses Twelve Data for market-price information and Frankfurter for currency exchange rates. The app identifies each source beside the relevant information. Frankfurter provides blended daily mid-market reference rates and dated history; these are not intraday quotes. FX requests are sent through our backend to Frankfurter with the requested currency pair. The FX lookup payload does not include your name, account details, balances, holdings, or portfolio records. Market-data requests may include the symbol or exchange needed to retrieve the requested information, but do not include those personal or portfolio details. Twelve Data and Frankfurter operate their respective services and may have separate terms and privacy practices. Their data and services are subject to applicable terms.

Third-party information may be unavailable, delayed, incomplete, or inaccurate. You are responsible for checking information against an appropriate source before acting on it. Third-party providers may impose additional terms, which will be presented where applicable.

8. Paid features and purchases

InterBuckets offers paid access to all features through monthly or annual subscriptions and a one-time purchase that provides access for as long as the Service remains available. Current monthly and annual subscription offers include a 7-day free trial for eligible new customers; returning subscribers are not eligible. Future offers may use a different trial duration or eligibility. The app paywall and applicable store purchase screen show the applicable trial length, eligibility, price after the trial, subscription period, included access, and purchase terms before you confirm a purchase. All subscriptions and one-time purchases are available only through Apple’s App Store or Google Play and are billed and managed under the applicable store’s purchase terms. Unless canceled through the applicable store before the trial ends, a subscription with a free trial converts to paid access and renews automatically at the disclosed price and billing period. After that, it renews automatically unless canceled through the applicable store before the next renewal. The applicable store explains how to manage cancellation or request a refund.

Each subscription or one-time purchase is subject to the terms disclosed at purchase. If those disclosures conflict with these Terms about price or billing, the disclosures shown in the purchase flow govern that purchase. Nothing in this section limits any non-waivable rights you have under applicable law.

9. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy, available at the public URL provided in the app and store listing, explains how MuSquared handles personal information in connection with the Service. The Privacy Policy is incorporated into these Terms for information-handling matters. Review it before using the Service.

10. Availability, updates, and changes

We may update, change, or discontinue features to maintain, improve, or protect the Service, or to address legal, security, or operational needs. We do not promise that every feature will remain available or that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free. We will not remove rights that applicable law makes non-waivable.

The Service may install updates through your device’s app store or operating-system settings. Some updates may be needed for continued use, security, or compatibility. You are responsible for keeping your device and the Service reasonably up to date.

11. Suspension and termination

You may end your use of the Service at any time by stopping use. We may suspend or end access if you materially breach these Terms, create a security or legal risk, or if we must do so by law. Where reasonably practicable, we will give notice and an opportunity to address the issue before restricting access, except where immediate action is needed.

When access ends, the license in Section 6 ends. Sections that by their nature should continue—including intellectual-property rights, disclaimers, liability limits, and dispute provisions—will continue to apply. The Privacy Policy explains what happens to information associated with the Service.

12. Disclaimers

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” MuSquared does not make warranties that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, suitable for a particular purpose, or that information displayed will be accurate, complete, or current. The financial-information limitations in Section 2 also apply.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranty exclusions. In those jurisdictions, these exclusions apply only to the extent permitted, and you retain any rights that cannot legally be excluded.

13. Limits on liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, MuSquared and its directors, employees, and suppliers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive loss, or for loss of profits, revenue, business opportunity, goodwill, data, or anticipated savings arising from or related to your use of, or inability to use, the Service.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability, a warranty, or a remedy that cannot legally be excluded or limited, including rights that consumer-protection law makes non-waivable. These limits apply only to the extent the law permits them to apply.

14. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms to reflect changes to the Service, applicable law, or our operations. We will change the “Effective date” above when we publish a new version. For a material change, we will provide notice through the Service, by email if we have your address, or by another reasonable method before the change takes effect. If applicable law requires your renewed agreement, we will request it. If you do not agree to a change, stop using the Service.

15. Governing law and resolving disputes

These Terms and disputes relating to them are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where mandatory consumer-protection law requires otherwise. The courts of the Province of Ontario will have jurisdiction, subject to any non-waivable rights to bring a claim elsewhere.

16. General terms

If a court finds part of these Terms unenforceable, the remaining parts continue to apply, and the affected part will apply to the greatest extent permitted by law. If we do not enforce a provision immediately, that does not waive our right to enforce it later. You may not transfer these Terms without our consent; we may transfer them as part of a reorganization, merger, or transfer of the Service, subject to applicable law. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any purchase terms presented to you, describe the agreement between you and MuSquared about the Service, except where a separate written agreement applies.
