InterBuckets Privacy Policy

Effective date: 2026-10-21
App: InterBuckets
Provider: musquared Inc.
Privacy contact: info@musquared.com

1. About this policy

This Privacy Policy describes how musquared Inc. (“MuSquared,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) handles information in connection with the InterBuckets mobile app, InterBuckets public beta applications, and related product support. It applies to the version of InterBuckets identified in the app stores and to features that link to this policy. It does not cover the general Musquared website or the separate Musquared email list; see the Musquared Website Privacy Policy for those practices.

InterBuckets is described as a portfolio-tracking app for tracking portfolios and understanding allocation. What information is handled depends on the features you use, the information you choose to provide, your device settings, and any integrations that are available and enabled.

2. Information that may be handled

Portfolio information you choose to enter or import

If you use portfolio-tracking features, the app handles information you enter about portfolios, holdings, transactions, balances, asset names or identifiers, dates, quantities, and related notes. The app stores this information locally and does not sync portfolio records to MuSquared servers. If operating-system backups are enabled, Apple or Google may back up app data according to your device settings and platform service. Those backups may include portfolio data and may restore it to another device on the same platform. InterBuckets does not support cross-platform restore or multi-device data sync in this release. Market-data lookup requests use generic instrument or currency inputs and do not include your portfolio record.

Account and contact information

InterBuckets does not offer user-created accounts or sign-in in this release. If you contact customer support, send a privacy request, or submit a public beta application by email, we handle the sender address and message through Google Workspace so we can respond. Beta application messages may include the full name, country, email address, and preferred platform you provide; we use these details to review and respond to your application. The website widget prepares an email draft in your mail app; it does not send these details to the website server, and nothing reaches us unless you choose to send the email. We do not save customer-support, privacy-request, or beta-application email addresses or message contents in InterBuckets or its backend.

App, device, and diagnostic information

InterBuckets may process technical access-session information to authenticate access and enable features. It may also collect crash data, performance data, and other technical diagnostic data to prevent fraud, apply security measures, monitor service availability and uptime, diagnose and minimize app crashes, and improve scalability and performance. We use these data only for app functionality, security, and service reliability. The diagnostic data are not used to track you or linked to your identity by MuSquared, and they do not include the portfolio records you enter. Apple may make crash and performance reports available through its developer tools under its reporting rules and settings. Google Play may make crash, app-not-responding, and performance reports available when users have opted in to share usage and diagnostics. Report availability and detail depend on the platform and its settings. Authentication and feature-access records are handled separately as described under Purchase information.

If you choose Export Diagnostics, the app creates a redacted file on your device for you to save or share. It may include app and operating-system versions, counts, generic currency codes, anonymous holding aliases, and market-data source, freshness, status, date, and request-outcome details. It does not include portfolio or holding names, symbols, quantities, balances or market values, tax inputs, or credentials. The app does not transmit this file automatically; you choose whether and where to share it. Other technical information involved in market-data or purchase requests is described in the relevant sections below.

Purchase information

InterBuckets offers paid monthly and annual subscriptions and a one-time lifetime purchase through Apple’s App Store or Google Play. When you buy or restore a purchase, the app sends store purchase evidence and product details to MuSquared’s backend for verification. The backend returns entitlement information needed to provide or restore paid access and establishes a technical access session; this is not a user account or sign-in. Apple or Google processes the payment. The app does not receive your full payment-card number through these store purchases.

3. How information is used

MuSquared uses information to:

  • provide portfolio-tracking and allocation features on your device;
  • retrieve market prices, market history, and supported currency exchange rates you request;
  • respond to customer-support and privacy requests and review public beta applications;
  • process and verify purchases and restore paid access;
  • authenticate access to app features, prevent fraud, protect service security, monitor availability, diagnose crashes, and improve service performance and scalability; and
  • comply with law and establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.

We do not use crash, performance, or diagnostic data for advertising or tracking.

4. When information is shared

MuSquared may make information available to the following recipients only where needed for the purposes described in this policy or as otherwise permitted or required by law:

  • Backend service provider: Supabase hosts the backend used to retrieve market data and verify store purchases. The backend processes generic market lookup inputs, store purchase evidence, and technical access-session information needed to provide and protect these services. It may also generate limited operational diagnostics, such as a random request identifier, the service route, outcome, and cache status, to monitor security, uptime, crashes, and performance. These diagnostics do not contain your portfolio records.
  • Email provider: Google Workspace processes messages and sender addresses sent to info@musquared.com for customer support, privacy requests, and public beta applications so we can receive and respond.
  • App stores and platform reporting: Apple and Google process purchases made through their stores and provide purchase or entitlement information needed to verify and restore access. Their developer reporting tools may also make crash, app-performance, and diagnostic reports available to us under the applicable platform rules and sharing settings.
  • Legal, safety, or business purposes: information may be disclosed where required by law or legal process, to protect people or the Service, or in connection with a reorganization or transfer of the business, subject to applicable law.

The backend service provider processes information for MuSquared to operate these features. We do not use advertising networks or data brokers in this release.

5. Storage, security, and retention

Your portfolio information is stored locally on your device. Supabase processes purchase-verification records and technical access-session information, and stores generic shared market data; those market-data records do not contain your portfolio. The Supabase project is hosted in the United States. Apple and Google control the availability and retention of reports in their developer reporting tools under their respective platform rules.

MuSquared uses administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards intended to protect information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or alteration. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot promise absolute security.

We keep store purchase-verification records to verify whether a purchase makes you eligible to use InterBuckets services. We retain them for a limited period to support restoring your purchase, then delete them when they are no longer needed for these purposes or to meet legal obligations. Customer-support, privacy-request, and beta-application emails in Google Workspace are retained only as long as needed to respond, review the application, and keep necessary business or legal records, then deleted. Other information is kept for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the relevant feature, support the purposes above, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. These email addresses and message contents are not saved in InterBuckets or its backend.

6. Your choices and privacy rights

Depending on where you live and how the Service handles your information, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, deletion of, or a copy of personal information, or to object to or restrict certain processing. You may also have the right to withdraw consent where processing relies on consent. These rights are subject to legal limits and exceptions.

To make a privacy request, contact us at info@musquared.com. Please identify the InterBuckets feature involved and the request you want to make. We may ask for information reasonably needed to verify your identity and locate the relevant records. We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law. You may also have the right to complain to the privacy regulator in your location.

This release does not offer user accounts, so it has no account-deletion process. To remove a portfolio from your device, choose Delete Portfolio from the portfolio actions and confirm Delete Permanently. You may contact us at info@musquared.com with a request about purchase-verification records. Customer support email addresses and message contents are not saved in InterBuckets or its backend.

7. Permissions and device controls

The app uses an internet connection for online features such as market data and purchase verification. It does not request operating-system access to contacts, location, the camera, or photos.

If a feature uses personal or sensitive information in a way users would not reasonably expect, we will provide the in-app notice and obtain any consent required before the relevant use begins.

8. Children

InterBuckets is not designed or directed to children and is intended for users who are legally able to agree to its Terms of Use. Where permitted by applicable law, a child may use the app only under adult supervision and solely for educational purposes. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children in violation of applicable law. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the Service, contact us at info@musquared.com so we can review and take appropriate action.

9. International processing

Supabase is currently our only backend service provider, and its project is hosted in the United States.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when the app, our practices, or applicable requirements change. We will update the effective date above and provide notice of material changes through the app, by email if we have your address, or by another reasonable method. If a change requires consent under applicable law, we will request it before applying the changed processing.
